Next Door Coffee Club 2023
Exhibition of a selection of my current work in the Next Door Coffee Club (external link), a lovely and cozy neighborhood café offering local quality products and excellent coffee.
You’ll see 13 so-called lith prints - analogue and handmade from the exposure of the film to the drying of the print. Actually, Taylor used the same technique for the series of prints that he showcased here before. Now he has invited me to show a selection of my pictures ‘Next Door’; and I’m happy to.
On display are pictures from two series: my Blacks & Light series presented last year and my new one called Luminous Grain where I have been experimenting with the effect of picture grain and its effect on my perception of light and of shadows.
You’ll see the new pictures with variations of grain in the counter area whereas the upper room is dedicated to the blacks, dominated by the Blacks & Light wall and with two cozy squares, the Texas square and the Atacama square.
All prints have been done by myself in small editions using the lith printing technique - and all are for sale. 1st come, 1st served - small editions of 1 to 4 prints. Browsing the pictures below you’ll find more information about the edition and the price.
Enjoy the drinks and sweet treats. Come and be yourself and I hope that my pictures strike a chord with you.
